Thunderstorms On Saturn?

A thunderstorm nearly 2,000 miles wide has been raging on Saturn for over nine months. Thunderstorms are actually common on Saturn and are typically much more powerful than storms found on Earth. This particular storm is the longest one ever observed on the distant planet.
Thunderstorms usually occur on Saturn in the same general area. This area has been names “Storm Alley” by scientists. While the area lies near the equator, scientists are still puzzled by why and where these thunderstorms take place.
Saturn is a gas giant and is the second largest planet in our solar system. Incredibly the average temperature on the planet is -285F and winds speeds of 1000mph or more, the planet also produces cyclones in the polar regions. For more on that please view the video below.
