TYPHOON MELOR SLAMS INTO JAPAN

Typhoon Melor made its presence known throughout the island of Japan on Thursday. The storm made landfall with winds of over 100mph damaging homes and businesses along the way. Two fatalities have been reported along with 46 injuries.Heavy rains from Melor caused flooding which led officials to issue landslide warnings in many parts of the country.

The storm also effected businesses near Tokyo. Many, including numerous auto factories, were forced to temporarily shut down. Commuters were stranded as 450 flights were cancelled and bullet trains were suspended. One train left passengers stranded for
