Heavy snow will be slowly making its way towards the Northeast on Tuesday. One to three inches of accumulation can be expected throughout many locations in the Midwest. Higher amounts can be expected in the Mid-Atlantic through Tuesday night on the heels of a record-setting blizzard that effected the region just a few days ago.

Rain and thunderstorms will be likely in the South and in West as well. More mudslides could be possible in the foothills of Southern California even with little additional rainfall.
