(Above) Significant Severe Weather Forecast for Monday

A HIGH RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MONDAY BY THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER

A volatile and potentially dangerous scenario may evolve in the Central Plains on Monday afternoon and evening. Conditions will be favorable for powerful isolated supercells from Southern Kansas to Central Oklahoma. Areas further south should remain mostly capped and less active.  Damaging winds, extremely large hail, and violent tornadoes will be possible with any storms that form in this region. The severe storms will move quickly eastward and may continue to pose a severe threat well into the nightime hours.
