The city of Cullman, Alabama, held a special ceremony Monday afternoon to commemorate the loss of lives on April 27, 2011. A tornado tore through the town killing two. A tornado memorial was dedicated at Cullman’s Heritage Park.
The memorial was constructed by city crews from a bent steel I-beam that was part of a building demolished by the storm.
A light will be placed on the I-beam as well as the U.S. flag.
