5 year Anniversary of Record breaking Tornado in New England

On July 24, 2008 a tornado made a trek of 50 miles through the state of New Hampshire.  This was the longest continuous path on record in New England.

The NWS tornado survey reports that there was damage in 11 New Hampshire communities.  There was a mix of EF1 and EF2 damage noted.  Thousands of trees were downed and numerous houses and other structures were damaged or destroyed.

There was one fatality in the town of Deerfield.  57 year old Brenda Stevens was killed in her home while protecting her infant grandson.
