Tornadoes Touch Down in the Northeast

stormResidents continue to clean up today after severe weather slammed the northeast part of the country on Monday.

Survey teams with the National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.  The twister was on the ground for about 10 minutes and carved a 4.8 mile path into New Providence and Summit.

Meanwhile, in Hartford County, Connecticut, a tornado touched down on Monday as well causing damage to 20 acres of tobacco plants.   Winds were estimated at 86 miles per hour, rating it as an EF-1.  No one was hurt.
